Odell Dickerson, Jr. principal of OdellExec Enterprises, is one of the country's most sought after faith based leadership consultant and key note speaker in the fields of faith-based management and motivation. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer for the New Psalmist Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Walter S. Thomas Sr. in Baltimore, Maryland, Odell is responsible for understanding, executing and leading the transformation of New Psalmist's vision, using the most cutting edge methods and resources available. During his tenure at New Psalmist Baptist Church, Odell has acquired expertise in the fields of church administration, project management and lay-leadership management.
Two of the most momentous were his leadership roles in the building of New Psalmist Baptist Church, "Holy City of Zion," a 50 million dollar worship center construction project and leading New Psalmist "Stretch" fundraising campaign which (during a recession), raised over six million dollars within three years. Shortly thereafter, Odell led the New Psalmist Baptist Church "Taking Charge," fundraising campaign which resulted in New Psalmist Baptist Church raising over $3.5 million dollars above tithes and coverings. Having played a critical role in assisting New Psalmist Baptist Church in fundraising as well as eliminating its debt within a brief period of time, Odell has acquired expertise in the areas of faith- based financial management, fundraising and debt elimination.
Odell is also quite the organizer, in addition to managing the day to day operations of a 7,000 member congregation and more than 50 employees, he serves as the Coordinator for the Kingdom Association of Covenant Pastors (KACP) and “Conversations,” an annual Pastoral Summit for Senior Pastors held in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Other significant accomplishments include his position as Coordinator for the Kingdom Conference and the Hampton University Minister’s Conference, which both registered over 10,000 participants each year. Moreover, Odell served as Coordinator for the Nassau, Bahamas Millennium Pastor's Conference, an international non-denominational organization of Pastors that developed "New Millennium" ministry strategies.
As a result of many years of experience and achieving such high levels of success, Odell is often called on to consult, facilitate, motivate or serve as a keynote speaker by faith-based initiatives and corporations alike.
Odell was born and raised in Baltimore, MD and was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. After receiving his diploma from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School, he went on to earn his Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Catonsville Community College and the University of Baltimore in Business Administration & Accounting, respectively. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
God is the center Odell’s life and he has a natural love for people. He is a devoted family man and is the younger of two children born to Odell Sr. and Lillian Dickerson of Gretna, VA. He is married to Sherri Dickerson and they are raising three beautiful children, Odell III, Jalen DeAnn and Caleb James.
